  1. Our tariff rates include:

    A) TRIPS: Lodging in hotels of different categories, with continental breakfast and hotel taxes. All our programs and/or services include the assistance of multilingual local guides.
    B) TRANSFERS: They are scheduled with the assistance of local guides. Luggage service with a limit of two standard pieces and one handbag per passenger.
    C) TRANSPORT:
    Private automobiles: For 1 to 3 passengers.
    Mini-Vans: For 4 to 9 people
    Mini-buses: For groups from 10 to 22 passengers. Luxurious Pullman: For groups with more than 23 people
    D) MEALS: Meals are included only in programs where they are mentioned.

  2. Our rates exclude:

    International exit tax USD 25, Galapagos National Park fee USD 100.
    Airfares, airport taxes, drinks, laundry, telephone calls, tips and other personal extras.

  3. Permanent programs:

    The programs and/or services detailed in this manual are permanent. They can begin on any day of the week and include any number of people. The composition of the tourist packages can be arranged according to the client’s preference.

  4. Specialized tour guides:

    All services that are detailed in this manual include the assistance of professional multilingual guides.

  5. Room types and categories:

    For all programs that last two or more days the following accommodations have been arranged. These will be distributed according with the number of passengers and/or according the client’s requests, in individual cases. Groups will be arranged in the most comfortable way. When two (2) or three (3) people with individual vouchers desire a shared room, it will be double or triple, the space provided for observations on each voucher must be filled in as follows: DOUBLE OR TRIPLE ROOMS WILL BE OCCUPIED BY THE CARRIERS OF VOUCHERS NUMBER…

  6. Check our time:

    Your hotel stay covers from 12:00 of arrival day until 12:00 of the next day. The client must pay directly for the room if he/she checks in earlier or leaves later than the stipulated time, even if this is due to a night or delayed flight.

  7. Reservations:

    All reservations must be made using the code number that corresponds to each of the services or programs.

    A) LENGTH OF TIME TO APPLY FOR SERVICE:

    Land services: minimum of 48 hours in advance, the confirmation will depend on the hostelry availability at reservation time or reservation, excepting Galápagos and Jungle expeditions.

    Galapagos and Jungle: Booking: At least 3-6 months in advanced of the intended date of departure. 6 months to 1 year prior to the holiday seasons. Rooming List: At least 8 days prior the group arrival by fax, e-mail, or letter. The failure to complete this procedure could mean the cancellation of the reservation. Furthermore, the requesting agency will be considered responsible for any problems that you may have.

    B) FORM OF PAYMENT:

    Deposit: USD 150 p/person is required for Galapagos booking in order of guarantee any reservation.

    Full payment: 60 days prior to the sailing date and must be accompanied with full names, passport numbers, nationality, flights information and hotel contact in Ecuador.

    Boat charters:
    Deposit #1: of 20% of the total amount is required to guarantee a full charter.
    Deposit #2: of 10% of the total amount is required 120 days prior the departure.
    Balance: full payment 45 days prior to departure.

    C) SERVICE REQUEST OR "VOUCHER" These can be issued only after the requested services were confirmed. They must be filled out clearly, correctly and legibly, according with the tariff rates stipulated. Any difference in rates that may arise from the preparation of this voucher will be charged to the agency that issued it.

  8. Fares:

    Prices: per person in USD and valid as stipulated in the attached information.
    NOTE: Tariffs subject of change may without previous notice.
    A) CHILDREN´S FARE:
    Children under two years old, accompanied by parents or another responsible person, are excluded from paying services and hotel charges. Concerning children over two, please consult us with regard to hotel services.

  9. Cancellations:

    Petitions for cancellation only will be examined when were presented written by the passenger by himself or by the manager of the travel agency where our services were purchased.

    A) LAND SERVICES:
    Cancellations: Individual reservations that are cancelled five days prior to the arrival date, will suffer a penalty fee of 10% of the value of the journey;
    if a cancellation is made less that 5 days prior to the arrival date, the penalty fee will be 100%.
    With reference to group reservations, if the cancel is made 10 days before the arrival date, the penalty charge will be 100%.

    B) GALAPAGOS & JUNGLE EXPEDITIONS:
    Everything depends on each operator from Galapagos cruises or Jungle expeditions. (Please check the corresponding information).

  10. Reimbursement:

    Request for reimbursement for services not yet effected must be sent to CARIBE TRAVEL Ltd., within a period of maximum one year from the date that the service order or "Voucher" is issued, mentioning clearly the date of services requested, the voucher’s number (s), client’s name, hotel’s name, the city where the services were requested and reasons or not using the service (s). After the consultation and approval of the respective operator. CARIBE VIAJES Y CONGRESOS CIA. LTDA. will accredit the respective credit to the requesting Agency. Cancellation policies must be applied.

  11. Responsibility:

    CARIBE TRAVEL Ltd. explicitly declares that acts only as an intermediary between the passengers and people involved in carrying out the services contained in this manual, as for example, transport companies, hotels, restaurants, etc. For this reason, CARIBE TRAVEL Ltd., cannot be held responsible when one or more of the programs and/or services cannot be completed or carried out, in part or as whole, for reasons beyond our control such as strikes, floods and storms, and any other case of emergency in general.
    We will not be held responsible for any injuries or damage that any passenger may suffer due to any energy crisis, be it national or international. We cannot be held responsible for problems with transport such us trains, buses, ships, cars, or any other that may be used for the transportation of passengers.
